A much better day

Started off doing my rock your body workout then got my shower and off to work.

For breakfast I had one egg, 2 slices of bacon and a Yogart.

Lunch was a small baked potato with sourcream and ham.

Tonight I did have a small frito pie with a salad.

I’ve managed 5 glasses of water today….

I was so proud that I didn’t even snack between times!

Tonight NaCole and I had to make two chocolate coolwhip pies and a hidden cherry cake and a hidden blackberry cake. Tomorrow is our big fundraiser for FFA. We have a b-que then a desert auction afterwards. So I’ll be going in to cook at 10 am. Al and the kids have a pig show at one and the b-que starts at 4. Hopefully we’ll get everything done!

Pray for our men lol who have to stay up and suffer tonight while smoking all that meat lol! haha They have a blast don’t let the lack of sleep fool ya!

Not sure about my eating tomorrow i’m going to stick to making good choices!

Bad food day BAD!

Started off ok. Had my normal one egg and two slices of bacon. Then I had two glasses of water. Then lunch arrived. UGH I should have controlled myself better but I didn’t. I had two small pieces of Catfish with tarter sauce, fries, a small bit of coleslaw,and a small amount of pasta salad. That’s not even the worst part I had a brownie!

OMG what was I thinking!!!!! I know better. I’ve been doing great and I went and ate that food! I’ve been drinking more water this afternoon and I’m just going to have to let it go!

Stop worrying about it and kick it up when I exercise in the morning!

Wednesday has come and now it can go!

It’s been such a busy day. The my daughter had a BPA ( Business Professionals of America) meeting before school so she had to be there by 7. I did get in my exercise before I left. Today I did a warm up then mainly worked on my core! Love my exercise ball!!

Anyways got them to school and got myself to work. Had to leave work early because NaCole had her first offical Upward Bound meeting tonight. If you haven’t heard of UB it’s an educational program that gets kids ready for college. They’ll have monthly meetings and then she’ll live on campus each summer. She’s in the Math and Science UB so she’ll spend her summers working on her skills. They’ll travel and visit other colleges as well. She’ll be taking her first ACT Test in April. Hard to believe my baby is growing up so be such a smarty! haha She’ll be 15 this weekend by the way. They grow up way to fast!!

Anyways I did well on eating today and I drank 5 glasses of water!! Yesterday it was only 4 so I made progress!

Need a good laugh

It’s almost mid-week so I thought i’d share a little giggle!

PUTTING YOUR AFFAIRS IN ORDER

A woman went to her doctor. The doctor, after an examination, sighed and said, “I have some bad news. You have cancer, and you’d best put your affairs in order.”

The woman was shocked, but managed to compose herself and walk into the waiting room where her daughter had been waiting. “Well daughter, we women celebrate when things are good, and we celebrate when things don’t go so well. In this case, things aren’t well. I have cancer. Let’s head to the club and have a martini.”  After 3 or 4 martinis, the two were feeling a little less somber. There were some laughs and more martinis. They were eventually approached by some of the woman’s old friends, who were curious as to what the two were celebrating.

The woman told her friends they were drinking to her impending end. “I’ve been diagnosed with AIDS.”

The friends were aghast and gave the woman their condolences. After the friends left, the woman’s daughter leaned over and whispered, “Momma, I thought you said you were dying of cancer, and you just told your friends you were dying of AIDS.”

The woman said, “I don’t want any of those bitches sleeping with your father after I’m gone.”

Hell yes women are evil….

Glorious Tuesday

Well it was a quiet evening and I stayed on track. I’m very proud of myself I didn’t cave! Seems it’s gotten much easier since I started the food journal.

Today I plan on Rocking my body this morning then a shower and then off to work. Home around 5pm. I’m hoping to get a walk in this evening. It’s been so beautiful as of late you just want to spend time outdoors.

Today I’m going to focus on more water. Seems I’m still not getting enough and I sure need to work on it.

Just another Manic Monday

Morning Gang! The weekend is officially over and I’m back to work today.  I did my weekly weigh in this morning and lost 2 lbs over the week. I’m glad now that I started the journal because there are alot of foods I won’t eat Simply because I don’t want to see it written in my food journal!

Well, my goals for this week:

  1. Get more water
  2. Continue working out daily
  3. Keep up my food journal’

Now What I’m grateful for:

  • I’m greatful that I’ve lost 2lbs this week
  • I’m greatful that I didn’t have to yell once on Saturday( lol)
  • I’m greatful to have a wonderful job to go to and bring in money for my family
  • I’m greatful for waking up

Had a great workout day!

It’s Saturday and it’s beautiful outside. So i’ve spent sometime outside. I took a nice long walk about 40 minutes. Then I bought this new tape and wow I didn’t know my body could do some of that! lol! If you love to dance you’ll enjoy it. It’s called Rock Your body by Jamie King. You’re getting a workout even though you just feel as if you are just learning a new dance.

It’s excellent It teaches you step by step. Great warm up and cool down and a strength training section!

Good morning

I’m off work today! Woohooo for me! Next week is going to be very busy but at least I have today to catch up a bit on life. Need to prepare some bills and get them off and out of my hair. Going to tackle some laundry and the dreaded IRONING UGH that should be a dirty word!

Had to run a friend of mine to work this morning her car is in the shop so I stopped at sonic for breakfast. While sitting there looking at the menu I felt bad for being there at all. So I ended up just getting a tropical smoothie. Basically fresh fruit with non fat yogart! So i don’t feel so bad now!

Todays temps are suppose to rise about the 30’s so I’m planning on a nice long walk this afternoon. I’m so ready for a little relief from the cold!

Anyways, It’s nice being home while no one else is. It’s peaceful and I have time to collect my thoughts! Well Hope you all have a wonderful healthy day!

 Simple Healthy Snack Ideas

Guiltless Chocolate Milkshake

1 cup light or nonfat chocolate ice cream or non fat frozen yogurt

1/3 cup non fat milk

1 ½ Tablespoons chocolate syrup (can also substitute strawberry syrup or jam)

1/8 teaspoon vanilla extract

 

Combine ice cream or frozen yogurt, chocolate syrup, and vanilla in a blender.  Whirl 2 to 3 minutes.
